...giving a woman a tea set, in some cultures, can be considered a marriage proposal! Its better to learn that fact early on... to avoid ... confusion!

Tea did indeed come to Japan from China, but the Japanese tea ceremony is Japan's own creation; however, the ceremony likely evolved from some more basic and less developed Chinese tea ritual. All of the Chinese Japan bashers and Japanese China bashers don't help the relationship between the two countries; reconciliation and understanding instead of useless inflammatory rhetoric is the only way for mutual prosperity, progress, and toleration to occur.

Thanks for posting this helpfull video. My wife has some family from Japan that are comming to visit us next month. I want to be able to do tea for them and now that I see how the Japanese do tea in Japan I will be able to put of a little show for them during their visit. Thanks for the video guide. Wish me luck!
