The Twist Fold - Folding Flats / Flat Diapers

It's a basic fold involving one twist. I present another option, combining a step from the "Jo" fold to extend the wings and IMO provide a more secure hold on the diaper. You can also take your flat and fold it in half just once, then fold the bottom edge (the narrow bottom edge) up twice about 1/3 of the way. Then fold vertically into thirds, fold out the wings at the top (like the jo fold), perform the twist as described in this fold, and this is more ideal for boys because much of the absorbancy is focused in the front. **Flats are so versatile! If you find that any fold I present is too small for your child, you can always start with your flat in the full size (rather than folded twice into a smaller square), add another flat on top so that you're working with two layers, then complete the fold; or you can start with the full flat, complete the fold, and add absorbency in the middle.
